Spontaneity and Sheffield Steel
Improv, short for ‘improvisation’, is a style of theatre in which the performers make things up completely on the spot, often with suggestions from the audience.
A Spontaneous Community…
SaSS (Spontaneity and Sheffield Steel) started in February 2022 - the founding principle was building community through improvisation. We offer drop-in workshops, improv courses, guest workshops from local and visiting teachers, showcases and shows.
We believe in improvisation as a way of sharing creativity. We also believe that improvisation can be used to create great theatre and comedy as an artform.
We want to serve the whole community from people looking to build confidence all the way to creatives who want to use improvisation in their creative practice.
